September 2025
Stuart Frew randomly decided one night it was time to build his own company something his late father in law always wanted him to do ( Big Neil ) . The work began and the name United Taxis Dumfries was decided.
November 2025
Drivers got interested and started to make contact with some trial shifts done.
December 2025
We officially launched. The fear of the unknown was here it was time and its a move that was worth making.
January 2026
We started to listen more to our customers and learn what was needed from us to help the customers more.
Feb 2026
We changed our whole booking system and started working on our branded passenger apps.
March 2026
- Official passenger app launch on iOS completed
- Android passenger app testing began
- Android passenger app launched (17th March 2026)
- New phone system comes into effect allowing multiple drivers to accept calls at the same time

- Completion of 2066 hires
